Drawing & Painting 1
June '04: "Eat Pikachu"; pastel (for art class)

This is, indeed, a very scary picture. But it's good.
Admit it! ...Or not. Anyways, this was a self
portrait assignment, and because I was sick of all the
girls in my class drawing themselves plainly, I drew
myself gnawing on my plushie's head. Needless to say,
when I hung it up for critiquing, I got quite a few
comments and, "OMG WTF SCARY!"'s. It doesn't actually
look like me. I swear I don't make that face often.
May (?) '04: "Morphing Object"; colored pencil,
graphite, charcoal (for art class)

The class assignment was to morph one object into each
other in four panels. Of course, hating the
assignment, I got around it as best as I could. It
should be viewed from right to left. My only other
comment about this drawing is that, God, was it fun to
break a christmas ornament.
February/March '04: "Childhood Object Drawing";
colored pencil (done for art class)

I didn't really have many good "childhood objects"
lying around, so I drew a cluster of lincoln logs and
this odd little painted, wooden structure I made in 4th
grade art class.
January '04: "Bunny Doll"; black and white
charcoal (art class midterm assignment)

Done on red paper, it actually DOES have a theme: Anime
convention. Although I wouldn't tell anyone. It's an
admission pass attatched to a chain, lying on top of
this odd little "plushie" I bought there. If you're
familiar with anime, it's Rabi en Rose from Digi
Charat. If not, it's basically a person dressed in a
very frilly outfit, with massive pink pigtails and
bunny ears. Also, I am fully aware that it resembles
the wicked witch in The Wizard of Oz, who was smushed
under a house.
December '03: "Tabletop Portrait"; black and
white charcoal

Done on brown paper- is a materialistic self portrair.
Consists of a sketchbook, earphones, a keyboard, and a
manga. Went to a "Small Works" show for high school
students at Pace University.
